While applying heat to nuts and seeds as they are being press-pressed may increase the speed of the process and result in more oil, the drawback is that the heat could also degrade the nutritional value and diminish the flavor.

Cold Pressed Extraction - Mechanical Process

Cold-pressed oils, on the other hand, are extracted by an entirely different and straightforward technique.

It does not require the use of any chemical or high temperatures which can alter their chemical composition. They are produced through mechanical processes like expelling or pressing with no use of heat.
